There is only 1 x booking on site at any time and you have exclusive use of all areas, there is also a 15 minute break between bookings so you will not meet any other people or dogs.
Please advise us at time of booking if you are bringing a reactive/nervous dog so we can ensure the area and car park is clear prior to your arrival.
There are horses/livestock visible on one fenceline adjacent to Noteworthy Campsite in the South East corner- this area is gated and highlighted on the map provided. It can be avoided completely or please put reactive dogs on lead.
We are surrounded by countryside so other farm animals may be visible in the distance, but we are fully enclosed by the 6ft perimeter fence, banks, hedgerows and trees. Due to the size of the area we do on occasion see rabbits and small wildlife within the perimeter fence and woodland.
No deer have been seen on the land or in the woods at Woodlands Farm since the fencing has been installed.
Yes. The deer fenced central woodland is approx 20 acres and very dense in places, so you must have some recall in order to re-leash your dog prior to the end of your booked time. If you would like to know where your dog is at all times a GPS tracker and downloadable app is available to hire, available as an 'add-on' at time of booking..
The carpark and short track to the designated areas are fully fenced, however we request that dogs are kept on lead until within your booked area.
In addition to the 6ft field and 6ft woodland fences the land is fully enclosed by a 6ft high tensile small hole
perimter/ring fence, therefore many of the areas are double fenced,
Due to the size of the area we do get visiting small wildlife (rabbits) who on occassion have dug small holes under the fence line, this is rectified immediately during the daily checks. We have our own 'escape artist' small dog so thorough daily checks are carried out.
Most of the ringfence now has folded under wire mesh to deter this activity.
There are several 6 inch diameter drainage pipes on the perimeter fence, so if your dog fits through this size hole then the area would not be secure for your dog.
If your dog is a prolific digger, can jump 6ft or climb fences then the area would not be secure for your dog.
There is only one entrance to Woodlands Farm which is double gated with the fields and land located behind the house, the fields do not border the road at any point.
Poo Bins - there are numerous (8) dog poo bins around the site, please clean up after your dog(s), bag it and bin it..
You will never have to carry it very far before coming across a bin marked for dog waste.
Under no circumstances are poo bags to be hung from trees or thown into the woodland, hedges or ditches.
Dog poo bins are for dog waste only and not for general waste.
Household Waste and Recycling - you are welcome to bring a picnic, food/drinks but please only discard of this waste in the correct bin marked 'Household Waste' or 'Recycling' located near the car park.
Please do not put general waste in dog poo bins - thank you.
